In an important measure to organize and strengthen the supply chain of raw materials for the wood industry, the Association of Importers of Wood, Boards and Raw Materials for the Wood Industry was established pursuant to Article 131 of the Labor Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran and in order to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests and improve the economic situation of importers, which themselves also ensure the protection of the interests of society. It was officially and legally registered with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under number 96391 dated 04/23/1403.

We hope that the establishment of this association will promise a bright future for the country’s wood industry.

Supporting domestic producers and facilitating trade relations

The association also strives to improve the quality of domestic products and increase their competitiveness in the market by establishing effective connections between importers and domestic producers. On the other hand, by establishing connections with similar associations in other countries, it will also help facilitate trade relations and increase the volume of imports of quality and reasonably priced raw materials.

One of the most important goals of this association is to create a comprehensive database to increase transparency in the wood raw material import market and enable industry activists to make more informed decisions.

Objectives and Vision of the Association

In order to facilitate the relations of natural and legal persons, members with relevant bodies and institutions, the Association will act as an intermediary and mediator and in this regard will pursue the following objectives:

1. Accepting responsibility and cooperating with ministries, organizations and official institutions in carrying out the tasks and duties that these bodies assign to trade associations and providing them with the necessary advice

2. Establishing relations with organizations and institutions related to the duties of the trade association inside or outside the country within the framework of trade activities and the laws and regulations of the country

3. Participating in professional negotiations with other relevant employer organizations and planning and following up on the conclusion of collective agreements between members

4. Providing expert opinions to the competent authorities in the field of determining the real value of goods in pro forma (foreign pre-invoice)

5. Liaising with the Tax Affairs Organization and negotiating with relevant executive bodies in the field of removing restrictions and problems of members

6. Liaising and coordinating with the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and affiliated organizations regarding the determination of Nature of imported goods

7. Consulting on banking, insurance, trade union problems and tax affairs, legal advice on contracts and agreements

8. Holding conferences, seminars for members and non-members

9. Concluding joint memorandums of understanding with organizations, departments and ministries in order to create bilateral interaction and the welfare of individual and legal entities members.
